I would like to extend a warm welcome to you from the staff and children at Gartconner Primary School and EYC. We aim to provide am inclusive, fair, respectful environment where friendships are developed and all children feel nurtured.

Our school handbook is designed to give you an insight into life and learning at Gartconner. We welcome parental involvement and value the very strong partnerships we have within our school community as research has shown that when parents are involved children do better in school.

We offer a broad and relevant curriculum of work which aims to provide excellent opportunities for all our children, where every member of our school community is valued and where all achievement is celebrated. We believe in developing life skills that will be essential for our young people to thrive after they have left us. We employ a variety of learnig and teaching strategies that where children are given opportunities to learn through play, problem solve, link learning to real life contexts and work both independently and with their peers.
